HZB and KFS invite researchers to actively contribute to the planning of the BESSY III instruments. As part of the conceptual phase of this next-generation light source, we are looking for your ideas for experiments that will be enabled by BESSY III, with commissioning expected from 2035 onwards.

The workshop will focus on seven “signature instruments,” aiming to integrate the user perspective into their design and functionality. The goal: to develop a research infrastructure capable of meeting the scientific challenges of the future. We also welcome contributions to a dedicated session on data handling.
